Have you ever been in a break room where you just wanted to tear your hair out from the annoying shit that hosts, chatters, and buyers do/say? Yeah, same here. Here are 5 of the most irritating things that happen in these rooms
- Hosts using catch phrases such as “Bang!”, “We Take!”, or “That’s a nuke” on a card that doesn’t even cover the price the buyer paid to get it.
- Mods that only glaze the hosts and don’t challenge or ask them questions. – Listen, I get it. Sometimes moderators will form a parasocial relationship with the hosts, but you can still act like a normal person and advocate for yourself and others in the chat. If your only there to kiss the hosts ass, you’re doing a disservice to everyone involved. A good mod will mediate, answer questions, and try to foster a welcoming environment for the guests in the room.
- Hosts that don’t answer questions or intentionally skip over questions – If you spend a lot of money in a break or are a consistent and loyal viewer, you need to do a better job answering as many questions as possible. Otherwise, it’s borderline disrespectful.
- Horrible music/audio quality – Let’s be honest, most of these hosts are just trying to ride trends and try to appeal to the younger generation. Most of them are better off not having any music at all.
- And finally, the bad character a lot of these individuals exhibit (racism, scammers, hostility, and creepiness, to name a few characteristics) – These types of people are the worst thing about the hobby.
