The Jackson Chourio MLB Debut Patch Autograph (2024 Topps Chrome Update, one of one) is back on the market. Goldin has it in its monthly Sports Elite Auction, which runs through Saturday, November 14, and Sports Collectors Digest reported an early bid of $120,000 on October 26.
This is the first time the card has been sold in public. Its only recorded sale, $105,000 in December 2024, was a private deal, reported at the time as the highest price paid for any MLB Debut Patch, a record that stood until the Paul Skenes card was pulled on Christmas Day. It is one of 29 recorded Debut Patch sales, across all sports, on the Debut Patch sales ledger.
Why the timing matters
Three things land in the same three weeks. Chourio is playing in the World Series as the lot opens, 4-for-9 with two stolen bases through the first two games per the SCD report. Topps opens pre-orders for 2026 Topps Chrome Update Baseball, the new MLB Debut Patch set, on Monday, November 2. And the auction closes twelve days after that, so the hammer price is the first open-market read on a 2024 MLB Debut Patch of a player who became a star, taken just as the next class of these cards goes on sale.
The comps on the ledger run from $105,000 (this card, privately) to $1,098,000 for Pete Crow-Armstrong at Goldin and $1.11 million for Skenes. Where Chourio lands between them is the number to watch.
What happens next
Nothing goes on the ledger until the auction closes. The $120,000 is an early bid, not a price. When the lot settles on November 14 the result gets recorded as a new sale, with the 2024 private sale kept as its own line, and this post gets a one-line update at the top.
