The Collin Murray-Boyles NBA Debut Patch has surfaced, and it has already been sold. Thirteen minutes, no points, two rebounds and a nineteen point loss in Dallas: that was Murray-Boyles’ first night in the NBA. The card built from the patch he wore doing it changed hands last Friday for $37,499.
It is the 55th of the 99 NBA Debut Patch Autographs to surface, and the first one a reader has reported to us directly.
The Collin Murray-Boyles NBA Debut Patch came out of the last pack
A collector who asked to be credited as Ray emailed us a photograph of the card. He pulled it on September 24 from a hobby box of 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update Basketball, and it was in the final pack of the box. Three packs earlier he had already pulled a Will Richard autograph, which is the kind of hit that makes you assume a box has given you everything it intends to.

Like Derik Queen’s card, this one came out of the pack as an unscratched redemption rather than the card itself. Topps issues a redemption when the physical card is not finished in time for the print run, and the code on it is exchanged for the real card later. An unscratched redemption is the strongest form to sell it in, because the buyer gets to enter the code themselves and the chain of custody is never in question.
The sale
Ray sold it privately on September 25 for $37,499, still unscratched. There was no auction and no listing. He told us he was torn about letting it go. Where the card is now is not public, and we did not ask.
That makes it the only privately sold card on the NBA Debut Patch board. Every other recorded sale in this set went through eBay or the Fanatics Collect auctions, which is also why this one would not have shown up in any sales feed. Without the email, the Collin Murray-Boyles NBA Debut Patch would have stayed invisible.
Where the $37,499 sale ranks
It is the sixth-biggest NBA Debut Patch sale on record, and the second-biggest of any that did not go through Fanatics Collect. It is also roughly 1.4 times the median sale in the set, which currently sits at $26,050.
| # | Player | Price | Where it sold |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cooper Flagg | $8,040,000 | Fanatics Collect |
| 2 | Dylan Harper | $2,880,000 | Fanatics Collect |
| 3 | Kon Knueppel | $2,340,000 | Fanatics Collect |
| 4 | Derik Queen | $162,000 | Fanatics Collect |
| 5 | Mohamed Diawara | $65,000 | eBay |
| 6 | Collin Murray-Boyles | $37,499 | Private |
| 7 | Nolan Traore | $26,100 | eBay |
| 8 | Will Richard | $25,999 | eBay |
| 9 | Sion James | $23,000 | eBay |
| 10 | Ryan Kalkbrenner | $20,000 | eBay |
| 11 | Johni Broome | $12,000 | eBay |
| 12 | Kam Jones | $12,000 | eBay |
| 13 | Rasheer Fleming | $10,200 | eBay |
| 14 | Rocco Zikarsky | $4,494.90 | eBay |
There is a small coincidence in the dates worth noting. Murray-Boyles’ card changed hands on September 25, the same day the four Fanatics Collect Premier lots closed and put $13,422,000 on the board in one night. A $37,499 private sale would normally be the story of the week in this set. That week it was a footnote.
What the Collin Murray-Boyles NBA Debut Patch is a card of
Murray-Boyles debuted on October 26, 2025, away against the Mavericks. Toronto lost 139 to 129. He played thirteen minutes, took no shots that found the net, and finished with two rebounds. The patch on his sleeve that night is the patch in the card, and there is exactly one of them.
That gap between the night and the number is the whole idea behind this program. NBA Debut Patch pricing does not track a debut box score. It tracks what the market came to think of the player afterwards, and Murray-Boyles gave it plenty to work with: he closed the season averaging 8.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 steals, was among the league’s leaders in deflections, and was the last player named to the All-Rookie Second Team, on eight first-team votes and fifty second-team votes.
Forty-four still out there
With this one recorded, 55 of the 99 cards in the set have surfaced and 44 have not. Some of those are sitting in boxes on a shelf in a distribution warehouse. Some are already in a binder belonging to someone who does not know what they have.
If one of them turns up in your box, the tracker has a report form at the bottom of the page, or you can email pulls@breakinganalytics.com. A clear photo or a link to video is what turns a report into a verified entry, and nothing goes on the page until the proof has been checked.
Thanks to Ray, who did exactly that. The Collin Murray-Boyles NBA Debut Patch is on the board because he sent an email.
